TrayKit16 modular drawer trays on a 42 mm grid: mix any sizes and they line up.

TrayKit is a set of 16 open drawer organizer trays for FDM 3D printers, as STL files: 8 footprints from 1x1 to 3x3 units in 25 mm and 45 mm heights. Every tray sits on a 42 mm module (n units = n x 42 - 0.5 mm), so any mix of sizes fills a drawer grid with a 0.5 mm gap between neighbours. A layout guide and a printable reference sheet show how many units fit common drawer sizes. Geometry checked by software (watertight, dimensions); not test-printed by us.

Made for home 3D-printer owners who want to organise desk, kitchen or workshop drawers. Works with An FDM 3D printer and slicer software (PrusaSlicer, Cura, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer).

What you can do with it

16 STL files

8 footprints (1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4, 3x3), each in 25 mm and 45 mm height.

42 mm module

A tray of n units is n x 42 - 0.5 mm, so any mix lines up with a 0.5 mm gap between neighbours.

Simple, clean shapes

Rounded corners, 1.6 mm walls, 1.2 mm floor, chamfered top edge and inside floor edge; no press-fits.

No supports

Flat bottom and no downward-facing surface steeper than 45 degrees (checked by software).

Drawer layout guide

README plus a printable HTML/PNG reference sheet: units per drawer size, 9 common drawers, a worked example layout.

Mesh-verified

Every file checked by software: one watertight, manifold, outward-facing mesh, size within 0.01 mm of nominal.

Why buy it instead of building it

Geometry checked by software

Every model is checked to be a single watertight mesh with exact dimensions before release. They are not test-printed by us, and the page says so.

Every file listed before you buy

The list below is read from the actual download, and the screenshots show the real files.

  • Standard binary STL in millimetres; opening in each slicer not tested by us

Questions

How many trays fit my drawer?

Divide the inside width and depth in mm by 42 and round down. The README and reference sheet list 9 common drawer sizes.

Do I need a baseplate?

No. The trays sit flat on the drawer bottom and hold each other in place; the 0.5 mm gap gives a little play.

Have you printed them?

No. Every file was checked by software (watertight, dimensions, overhangs). Print a 1x1 first to check the fit on your printer.

Which material and settings?

PLA or PETG, 0.2 mm layers, 2-3 walls, no supports are suggested starting points; adjust for your printer.

Can I sell the prints or files?

The licence covers printing for your own use. The files may not be resold or shared, and selling printed trays is not included.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Email altaitoondev@gmail.com within 30 days of purchase. We'll try to fix the problem first; if we can't, you get a full refund through the store you bought from.
